Part 3 Marketing Plan (Due in Week 6, 30 points)
In this final piece of
the Course Paper, you will develop a brief marketing plan for your product or
service. In this section, you should do the following.
- Identify the overall marketing goals.
- Identify three to five specific marketing objectives (these
should be specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and have a time
element). - Identify specific marketing strategies for achieving these
objectives and goals, including - product strategies (what your product will look like);
- distribution strategies (how you will distribute the product
or service to your target market); - promotion strategies (how you will promote your product or
service); and - pricing strategies (how you will price your product or
service). - You should clearly articulate how your intended strategies
satisfy the needs of your target market.
The length of the
marketing plan component should be 800-1600 words. You should cite all sources
in APA style, both in text and at the end of the document. You are required to
have at least three sources to support this component of the paper.
This is a example of the Demographic
analysis
DEMOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS
East New York, an urban residential
neighborhood in eastern Brooklyn, covers an area of 2,450 square miles and has
a population of around 90,000. This geographic area encompasses zip codes 11207
and 11208 and is bordered by Queens, another borough of New York City, to the
east and Jamaica Bay to the south. During the twentieth century, East New York
became a commuter town predominantly inhabited by African Americans and
Hispanics. In the 1980’s there was an influx of immigrants from the Caribbean,
East India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Middle Eastern countries. There is also a
small number of Whites (non-Hispanic) still living in East New York from when
it was the original commuter town in the 1960’s. East New York now has a
colorful mix of people living and working together, roughly 31,000 per square
mile. (City-Data, 2007)

With
over half the population living below the poverty level, most residents receive
public assistance (monetary help to buy basics such as groceries), Medicaid,
WIC, or other types of governmental aid. Working mainly in low paying and blue
collar jobs, the average household income is $26,000, significantly lower than
the U.S. average of $56, 600. Most residents are renters in private
semi-detached, multi-unit houses and Public Housing projects.
Radically diverse, younger and
mostly single, there is a considerable difference between the number of men and
women. …………………………………………

Studies have shown that age, gender, race, income and marital status are
some of the best predicators of healthcare utilization. (Thomas, R. K. 2005).
East New York has a prevalence of younger people living there (more so than the
other boroughs of Brooklyn).
