PROJECT TOPIC IS“Challenges
in Utilization and Case Management in Managed Care”
NOT MERELY A RESEARCH
PROJECT. THIS IS A PROBLEM-SOLVING PROJECT. The Projecttopics where you can define
a few issues then propose plausible solutions this paper to work through a
problem-solving scenario.
Course
Project must include the following sections in addition to a cover page and
table of contents. It may also include other sections if you deem it necessary
and appropriate.
Introduction

Define the Challenges and Problems Associated With Your Topic
Review of the Literature
Challenges/Problems Analysis
Recommend Solutions
Implementation of Solutions
Justification
Summary and Conclusion
Works Cited
Here are
some tips for completing a few of the required sections:
With review of literature– this is
where you will explain your research from scholarly resources. Don’t waste time
on graphs or data tables. Just talk about what you are learning.
Defining the challenges and
problems- this is where you will explain in simplistic terms your understanding
of one or two primary issues regarding your subject. Spend some time developing
your thoughts on why these problems are occurring, and what factors impact the
situation.
Next, considering the problems you
have just explained propose several ideas for how you would solve these issues.
You can use recommendations from your research or make your own observations.
Your solutions don’t have to be right or wrong you just need to start thinking
through the problem and how you would solve it if you were in charge.
Next pick a couple of good solutions
that you think would be realistic and explain the steps you would take to
implement them.
Finally, explain/justify why you think
the solutions would work to resolve or at least mitigate the
problems/challenges you’ve described.
Then wrap it all up in a nice
summary for your conclusion.
Problem solving methodology is a tool that is necessary for all business
leaders whether in healthcare or in other career fields. Problems exist all
around us and we can complain about them all day long but leaders have to step
up to the challenge of figuring out how to resolve them. This is your chance to
walk through that process and start thinking like a leader — not just seeing
the problems of the world but seeing the problems as opportunities to do things
better! So have fun with this project! Pretend you are in charge and tell me
how you would handle it!!
Project should be 7- 8pages in length, with
10-point font, and double-spaced. Include a cover page, table of contents,
introduction, and body of the report, summary/conclusion, and works cited.
Even though this is not a scientific writing
assignment, and is mostly creative in nature, references are still very
important. At least six authoritative outside references are required.
These should be listed on the last page,
titled Works Cited.
USE Appropriate citations are required.
